Guy Fieri’s Roadshow Comes To Raleigh
The Progress Energy Center was booming with excitement Saturday night as Food Network’s Guy Fieri took the stage for his first-ever rock and roll culinary tour.
And just like his opening video montage said “This isn’t your mama’s food show”, and boy were they right!
But before it was time for the main act, Guy had a few of his friends warm up the crowd. Local chef, Walter Royal shared a few of his secrets to get things started. Then Australian flair bartender Hayden Wood hit the stage wowing the audience with his tricks.
As soon as Guy hit the stage with music from his DJ, his energy just filled up the theatre. The crowd was standing, hollering, and cheering as if it was their favorite musician up on that stage. Guy and his crew even threw towels, t-shirts and other little knick knacks into the crowd.
With all that was going on, you sort of forgot you were there to see a cooking show, but Guy made sure there was some cooking going on. With every dish he made, he told a little story behind it which drew laughs from the audience.

Clip too short. Love Guy & watch Diner’s , Drive-ins & Dives ALL the time. Like the TV segments better though great to see him in person, in that venue even more personality than on the show. But it’s the food most want to see, not the music.
