Jim Belushi Stops In Raleigh As Part Of Drive4COPD Campaign

jim_belushi3Emmy-nominated actor Jim Belushi made a pit stop in Raleigh Sunday as part of the Drive4COPD campaign to find people who may be at risk for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

Belushi is part of a five person team, which includes Drive4COPD ambassador Danica Patrick, Michael Starhan, Bruce Jenner and Patty Loveless. The team will drive 6,000 miles in the next four days to help bring awareness to the disease.

“One person, every four minutes dies of COPD and there are 24 million people out there that have it and only half of them know,” said Belushi.

The actor said he is so passionate about this cause because the disease greatly impacted the health of his father and aunt. Belushi said early detection is the key and encourages everyone to get screened.

Drive4COPD has created five-question screener online to help you identify if you may be at risk for COPD, click here to take the questionnaire.
