Paula Deen Postpones Shows At DPAC

People Paula DeenFood Network fans and fans of Paula Deen, brace yourselves for some bad news. The queen of southern home cooking has announced she will be postponing both of her appearances at the Durham Performing Arts Center on February 21.

In a statement Deed said:

“I love traveling the country sharing stories, cooking and visiting with folks, it’s one of my favorite things to do. That’s why I’m so sorry that those who bought tickets or were planning to attend are going to be disappointed. I apologize for that and I appreciate their patience.”

DPAC officials say they are hoping to announce a rescheduled date as soon as possible and all ticket holders are encouraged to hold on to their tickets until more information about a new date are released.

From her website:

“What happened was simple: I’ve done so many of these wonderful shows in these past few years, but this time we were using a new company to produce them for me and, frankly, there were so many issues and logistical problems that I had no choice but to cancel this tour. I won’t give my fans a poor live show, just like I won’t give customers at The Lady and Sons spoiled food.”

Now? Who was in charge of the road show? Pending libel and slander charges? This could get juicier than double fried chicken!!! Most of her fans are Tea Party charter members. And they are all in a bad mood already. This could get nasty.
I’m leavin’ town. Call me when it’s all over!!
