Free Tickets For Unemployed Men To See The Full Monty

100223_full_montyHere is a prime example where art imitates life. The North Carolina Theatre will be opening its 2010 season with the production of The Full Monty, a story of six unemployed men as they search for work. Officials with the theatre have announced that an anonymous corporate sponsor has underwritten tickets for unemployed men.

One hundred tickets have been set aside for unemployed men in the Triangle area that fill-out the order form and submit it by February 25. The tickets are for the 8 p.m. performance on Feb. 27 and the 2 p.m. performance on Feb. 28.

“If you are out work, we invite you to join us for an unforgettable night of theatre with guaranteed laughs and a renewed sense of hope and possibility-for free,” said Lisa Grele Barrie, President and CEO of North Carolina Theatre.

The Full Monty stars Ira David Wood III and Emmy award-winning actress Sally Struthers and runs from Feb.27-March 7 at the Raleigh Memorial Auditorium.

Click here to download the order form and fax it to the theatre at (919)831-6951 before 4 p.m. on Feb. 25.

The last time this production was in town my husband and a good friend of ours were laid off. We went to see it and it really lifted our spirits. Glad to say that this time around both are employed and doing very well.
