Clay Aiken Releases More Tickets To Sold-Out Show

MUSIC CLAY AIKENClay Aiken fans, if you thought you were out of luck when tickets to his one-night only show sold-out, think again. A limited number of tickets will be released starting at Noon Tuesday, March 9.

Aiken originally sold out the show at the Memorial Auditorium within minutes after being on-sale to the public.

According to a press release, due to popular demand, Aiken and his production team “worked to reconfigure the stage set-up in order to release a limited number of seats that were being held for TV production”.

“I sincerely thank my fans for their support. Selling out the Memorial Auditorium in minutes is so mind blowing to me, and now luckily I can get some more fans into the audience with these extra tickets” said the singer. “I can’t wait to share the new music with everyone and I promise to make it a one of a kind, extra special show.”

Tickets will be available on Ticketmaster.com at Noon (EST) on Tuesday, March 9.

Where are people (especially Clay) getting the idea that it’s a sold out show? There are still many tickets available on StubHub and ebay.

Those tickets on Ebay and Stubhub have already been paid for so they are considered sold..

The tickets on ebay and stubhub have been purchased , divafan . Unfortunately they were scooped up by brokers and others trying to make a profit off the fans by reselling them at inflated prices . It happens to all popular performers . Such a shame that it can’t be stopped .

I am looking forward to this concert by Clay Aiken. He is a real talent and his live concerts are full of wonderful music and lots of fun.

Good for Clay for the sellout for his PBS taping. The scalpers are doing what they always do on TicketMonster, frequently keep people who want the tickets from getting them early and at a reasonable price. For some it is too late to make travel plans.

Congrats to Clay for a sellout!!
Sad – there will always be scalpers.
Sad for the fans that will miss a seat because of those scalpers.

So glad to hear that Clay Aiken has sold out his one night show in Raleigh. If anyone misses one of his concerts it’s their loss, he’s a fantastic entertainer. Whether TicketMonster, Ebay or Stubhub has tickets available at least they’re sold and that’s the point. I agree these brokers should be stopped.

I’ll be at the show with 5 other friends and family! Can’t wait, it has been so long since my last Clay concert. His shows are so much fun.

How wonderful that this PBS taping is sold out. I agree with etech. Scalpers buy up these tickets all the time for other celebrities. Technically, it IS sold out and it can be advertised that way! That is a good thing.

Hopefully, those who haven’t gotten tickets yet can take advantage of the great seats opening up!! It promises to be a wonderful show!!!!!!

Unfortunately, those great tickets were scooped up before I had a chance to “upgrade”!

Congrats, Clay, for again selling out a venue in minutes. We knew that your would.

Clay you need to extend your concerts to other cities..It has been too long since you have had a tour and now this new music..Can’t wait to get the CD..

Not surprised it sold out. I was on Ticketmaster two minutes after the tickets went on sale and couldn’t even get the highest priced seats. All that I could get was balcony.

I feel so lucky to be going. We have all missed Clay singing “live.” What a wonderful evening it’s going to be. The man was born to sing and entertain–just love him!

I’m super jealous on those who could go to the concert, now that clay promised an extra special show. If I were living in America,I’m pretty sure that I’m one of the front row seaters….

Come on lets not play dumb! This concert did not sell out in minutes. Venders and people who thought they could make money on the tickets like when he was popular bought them up. Not fans. There is a ton of them on Ebay and some good ones too. Stub hub is loaded with them. Remember he only butters up his fans when he wants you to buy tickets or Cds. I am so on to that. But just quite acting like he is like the old days when he played us all for fools. No sell out and doubt he ever will again. Come out of the fog and see it for what it is……………

Sunny, looks like someone stole your sunshine. LOL!
Damn, I wish I could go to this. It will be a blast.

“Sunny”
O M G…YOU ARE SOOOOOO “ENVIOUS” it is absolutly
“SICKENING” you are an “IDIOT” if you realy believe the
“MESS” you wrote.
RITA /JAXV. FL.

Sunny is Blue!!!

Gotta tell you, its sad that you were played a fool. Never happened to me. I am a smart lady and Clay Aiken is a great performer and makes me happy.

Clay Aiken has done more for people all over the world…kids and adults. I guess he must have disappointed you when he came out. Now that makes me blue!!

Cannot WAIT for Friday!!!! It’s a loooooooong flight, but Clay is always worth it!!!!

A sale is a sale. The $$ are in. Those not enjoying Clay’s return are missing out, but no one misses a hater.

When brokers buy tickets and put them up for resale the venue still sold out. The brokers will sell out by the concert date too. Don’t fret over it Sunny. All will be well.

Can’t wait to be there on Friday night. I’m definitely not surprised that it sold out so quickly.

I’m glad that some more tickets opened up because there were 3 people that went to the box office to get tickets on the day of the public sale and there weren’t any available except what would be considered obstructed view. I know that 2 of these 3 people did get tickets today and are so excited to be going. This is not to be missed. :)

I would soooo be there if I could! Looking forward to hearing all about it, and then seeing the performance on TV!

No fog here! A sell out is a sell out!
I would love to go to this!
I am excited for everyone that will get to see this amazing man.
I just pre-ordered his new CD, “Tried & True” from Amazon.
I cannot wait!

I’m one of the fortunate ones who got good seats and I plan on enjoying every minute of Clay and his one time only concert.

Clay is an amazing entertainer and his shows are well worth seeing. I’m hoping he is going to tour this year because we have missed that crazy sense of humour and that wonderful voice. One concert is never enough…bring it on Clay!
This concert is definetely going to be a blast!

I can’t wait to see this on PBS. He always puts on a great show. I’ve been privledged to see him several times. I think “Sunny” or should I say “Stormy” should not spend so much time worrying about someone she hates. What a waste of time. Anyway, this concert will be so much fun for everyone. I wish I could attend the taping.

Sunny, who peed on your Post Toasties. A sell out is a sell out. Clay still has plenty of his old fans, and many new ones as well.

Sunny it seems you do not really care for Clay so why do you bother coming to read this article. I am not in a fog but seems you should fade back into yours. It is normal for brokers to buy up tickets. Clay is still selling and making headlines and will be performing long after other singers ( and I think I know which one you like now]fade away because he is versatile.

I am going to the concert and I can’t wait!!

Sunny, too bad it’s raining where you are. No foggy day for the rest of us – your loss, not ours.

I so envy you guys who got tickets and are going to Raleigh. I’d love nothing more than to be “buttered up” at a concert by Clay. Waiting impatiently to see this concert on PBS, and to hear “Tried and True”. This man is a born entertainer.

I am so excited for everyone going to this concert. Clay Aiken is back and singing to us again, and its about damn time!!!! Can a full fledged tour be far behind?? Oh yeah, and I buy CDs and hopefully concert tickets as a favor to ME, not to Clay, so I don’t need no buttering.lol.

Being “sold out” is not all that matters! Pretty pathetic if you go and see only half the place full. If the scalpers tix don’t sell then it will truly be only the fans he has left. Being “sold out” is a joke! Especially when he wasn’t even playing half house anyway. The guy is a has been that never was! Why else is he doing another stupid oldies CD?! You don’t START a career by doing that garabge!

Oh how I wish I was going to this very special event, but circumstances did not allow me to fly across the country to be there, but I am waiting for the to see it on PBS and buy the DVD.
I am very proud of Clay.
Sunny you sound like a disgruntled fan, and as Josh said ..who stole your sunshine?

Can’t wait to attend..congratulations Clay on a quick sell out!

Sunny, old proverb say, “You can’t be made fool, you are born that way.”

Lori, I guess we won’t see you at the concert?

Congratulations to everyone who was able to get tickets to the concert. I will be eagerly looking forward to the reports from those in attendance, the PBS special in June, and buying. IMO Clay Aiken is an amazing performer!!!!

oops! I meant to say “and buying the DVD!”

No I am the one that is real. I finally see him for who he is. A con man! I do not dislike him because he is gay. I dislike being took for five years as he lied and conned all of his fans.I really do hope he gets popular again so I can unload all the crap of his I bought. That is why I watch to see what is going on. Yes i was a fool but I finally saw the light. Some people take longer to see the light. And there will be a ton of tickets that don’t sell! Sorry but that is how I feel.

Sunny……..You really want to argue and start something. Not interested. You have an agenda and who cares.

If you didn’t like Clay Aiken or didn’t want to start something, you wouldn’t be here.

Have a nice day!!

Sunny,

Too bad for you. All the things you feel is just not justifiyable. He waited for the right time and we should support that. He’s done too much for all the needed kids and who do you think any of the idols do this things that he do for others. He is pure and you are just kidding yourself if that is the way you feel. All is forgiven and that is a true fan which I think you are not. So be it and just get on with your life. It is better to live with forgiveness than not at all. God Bless you.

Dear Sunny, Clay did not con any of his fans, and you need to stop talking about “all his fans.” You were told about his charities, his music and his concerts. If he asked you to buy things and then he would date/marry you, I would say you were conned. Since you, nor any other fans, were ever told that, I don’t see how you could say you were conned. Your fury is all because you expected to be part of his life, and that is your foolishness, not Clay conning you. The more you post, the sillier you look. ANYONE reading your nonsense can see what has you in such a fit.

Cant you see that you absolutly can not TRASH this man on

I wish I could be one of the lucky few that got tickets to this special taping. I will definitely be watching when the show airs, but of course it won’t be the same.

I don’t understand why there is so much drama about the “sell-out”. Don’t you people know that EVERY “sell-out” has tickets available, just go search for them & you’ll find them. Why aren’t you guys harassing those artists? And if you are, you really shouldn’t be.

I understand Sunny if you were upset when Clay came out, I was too, but saying he “conned” us is a little harsh. We all have things about ourselves that we may not be ready to share with the world & may never, but that doesn’t mean we are trying to trick people. Regardless of what has happened over the past couple years, I still believe that Clay meant all that he said about marriage & girls he had crushes on in school. I don’t want to analyze Clay, but I don’t think it is fair to assume he was “lying”.

I had a best friend who until he died, I didn’t know was gay. He tried to date in school, but was rejected by girls because he was thin & not very tall. He liked girls, but was confused & hurt by their cruel comments. Eventually he grew up became a male model & worked in Las Vegas & got lots of attention. He had always wanted to get married – his brother & sister already had families, but it wasn’t in the cards for him. He finally started dating guys privately, but unfortunately got aids and died. He was 28. After his death, another co-worker & good friend of mine told me he confided he was gay to others in the office during that last year, she told me he wanted to talk to me about it when he got sick. Based on how close we were, I couldn’t believe it. We were best friends & talked about everything, or so I thought, but it was personal & his business & if he didn’t feel comfortable talking about his sexuality to me, I can’t blame him. Maybe he knew inside earlier, but was afraid to tell me. Although it hurt, I don’t consider him a liar. The sad thing is that we never got to talk, the day I was going to see him at the hospital, he passed away. I have never forgiven myself for that. I know he loved me & I loved him (not sexually, but in every other way – he was like a brother to me). I was upset that he told other people that were not as close to him as I was, but I think it is because he was afraid of losing our friendship.

I felt that same way in the beginning when I found out about Clay, but then I thought about it & realized that sometimes it is the ones that mean the most that find out last. I don’t believe that Clay ever intended to fool his fans. Like my friend, he just didn’t know how to deal with it & once time started passing it never seemed like the right time. At least it is finally out & he can be himself. I wish things had been different too, but we can’t go back & rewrite history, so we just have to focus on what made us drawn to Clay – his magical voice, his sweet personality & his big heart. I will always remember my friend for the good times, not the fact that he never told ME personally something that was such a big part of who he was.

Clay is not perfect, never claimed to be, it was US, the fans that put him on a pedestal, so there was nowhere for him to go, but down. Now I just try to enjoy his music, since he still has one of the most gorgeous voices out there & let go of whatever “disappointments” I might have felt at the time. Even now, he didn’t have to give us any explanations, but he has & I think we owe it to him to let him be who he is, whether or not we agree with it.

I am just happy that Clay is finally back & I hope more fans support him so that he can start touring again.

Sunny speaks the truth. I don’t care that Elton John is gay. I DO care that Clay Aiken set himself up as The Great Moral Leader For Evangelical Christian Youth, and then turned around and repudiated everything he said about sexual purity. He’s just like ANOTHER hypocritical televangelist. He went out of his way to be a hypocrite, and people were hurt because of it. Then he ridiculed those hurt people for being stupid enough to have believed him in the first place. Disgusting.

P.S. The concert is NOT sold out.

As of a few hours ago, there were PLENTY of tickets available on TIcketmaster. Yesterday there were GOOD seats left. I don’t know why Clay said it was sold out, and quickly.
I agree with Patty. Clay didn’t need to be so loud and vocal about his “Christianity” and how he wouldn’t ever say d— again like was on his first album…only 1 time on 1 song. Now he says that and all kinds of other cuss words…in interviews etc. He is just a liar. He was a great actor, and mostly a “good” liar. Had a nice voice, but not much of a person.

I want to say I am sorry for lashing out. I do want to thank the ones with good comments to me even though I was nasty. I don’t know how I got drawn into such a bizzarre fascination with Clay. It is not normal or healthy. I have loved Celine Dion for 20 years and finally in 2008 saw her live and I had no desire to go see her leave and I never look her up to see what is going on in her life but love her. I left her concert just knowing It was amazing and have great memories of going. That is normal. Yes Clays fan made him out to be a superhuman. He has not done anything extraordinary for the world or kids. But he has done some. How do we know this.. because he tells everyone and the crazed fans add to it. So if you like clay thats fine but don’t be ridiculous. I guess I was mad about all the money I spent on him and being poor wanted back what I could get back and found out he is not a hot comodity on Ebay like he use to be. So with your advice to move on I hauled all my clay boxes to the curb and actually felt a burden lifted as the garbage men hauled it away.I have more space now and don’t have to worry about it anymore. I have a thing about being lied to and Clay knew we all beleived him and stuck up for him and I just feel he played us all for fools. I just want to make one thing clear..I do not dislike him him because he is gay. The many times he denied it he should have said no comment if he was not ready to face it. But that said I guess we should all have not been so involved in his life. Just enjoy the music and don’t pretend you know these singers. Lesson learned! I went to many clay concerts and I know most of his fans are super nice. Then you have the off the wall ones that actually give him a bad name. But again I do want to apologize and thank the ones who helped me think through this. Just remember to keep it REAL!

PATTY
Please get a LIFE and stop your crazy IMAGINATION Clay Aiken never set himself up as THE GREAT MORAL LEADER FOR THE EVANGELICAL CRSTIAN YOUTH. How ever he did say he is a CHRISTIAN and he did say he is GAY and that my dear is what you have a problem with. So what you saying a GAY MAN can not be a CHRISTIAN The only people who were hurt when Clay Aiken came out was the once, who FANTASIEST about him as a man (if you know what i mean) I’m not GAY hoewer I love this man as an artist with an INCREDIBLE VOICE and thank god we have him.

I just want to clarify something. My name on the Clayboard is Sunny. However, I’m NOT the “sunny” who is posting here.
