UNC Grad, Lewis Black To Perform At DPAC
The Durham Performing Arts Center has announced that comedian Lewis Black will make a stop in Durham on September 10, as part of his “In God We Rust” tour.
This is the second time the UNC-Chapel Hill grad has performed at the DPAC. His first appearance in December 2008 was a sold out show.
“It’s great to have comedy back on the DPAC stage,” said GM Bob Klaus in a press release.
In its first year, the DPAC played host to several big name comedians, including George Lopez, Robin Williams and Bill Cosby.
Lewis is known for his three-minute segment on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show”, where he would rant about whatever has bothering him at the moment.
Lewis also plays a big role in education and arts at UNC-Chapel Hill. Lewis created the Carolina Comedy Festival, a yearly festival on the campus that provides budding performers a chance to perform and learn at the same time.
Tickets for the September 10th performance will go on sale April 30 at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling (919)680-2787, Ticketmaster, or online.
