Residents Can Showcase Property For TV, Movie Productions

080714_movie_apNorth Carolina is home to many beautiful properties, and now thanks to a new website, property owners will have the chance to showcase their properties as locations for movies and television shows.

The N.C. Film Office announced Wednesday a new site that allows residents across the state to submit their homes, business, farms and other property for possible use by film crews.

“We are excited to launch this program and allow North Carolinians another opportunity to be a part of the film industry,” said Aaron Syrett, N.C. Film Office director in a press release. “Residents can easily upload their property to our site at no charge so that producers and location scouts can find the perfect setting for their upcoming production here in our great state.”

Residents must upload quality images and then the process begins. According to the Film Office, if a production is interested in your property, they will first contact the Film Office, which in turn contacts the owner. Negotiations for property use will then begin.

The website was launched by the Film Office, along with film location management company ReelScout. To submit your property to the site, or for more information, click here.
