Rapper Petey Pablo Arrested At RDU
The North Carolina known as Petey Pablo was arrested on weapons charges at Raleigh-Durham International Airport Saturday morning.
The spokeswoman for RDU said Moses Barrett III, Pablo’s real name, was arrested at 6:00 a.m. by TSA agents who said they found a stolen 9 mm handgun in his carry-on luggage.
The Wake County jail said Barrett was released at 9:48 a.m. after posting $50,000 bond. He is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of stolen goods and carrying a concealed weapon.
Pablo’s business partner Vivienne Leigh of Los Angeles spoke with him after the arrest. She said the rapper told her he had someone else’s luggage when he arrived at the airport.
Barrett boarded another plane at RDU around noon and was flying to Los Angeles for the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.
