‘The Lion King’ Tickets On Sale Oct. 2, DPAC Expects Huge Turnout For Sale Event

100927_ap_lion_kingOfficials at the Durham Performing Arts Center are expecting a huge turnout for their ticket sale event for Disney’s The Lion King.

Tickets for the much anticipated musical go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday. But if you want to make sure you get the tickets and seats you want, the DPAC ticketing center will open early for those wanting to purchase their tickets.

Similar to the Wicked on-sale event, the DPAC is even offering incentives for early risers. Those in line at the DPAC ticket center will have the ability to purchase the best available seats and will receive a special gift from Disney’s The Lion King. According to the DPAC website, the first 100 customers in line get a Lion King CD and all others get a free t-shirt, while supplies last. The first person in line Saturday will also receive a deluxe package from the show.

Event organizers say they expect about 400 people to be in line, ready to purchase tickets.

The show opens Thursday, January 4, 2011 and runs through January 30.

Tickets prices start as low as $22. Premium ticket packages are also available, which include a commemorative souvenir program and an exclusive merchandise item. For ticket information and show information, click here.
