Bollywood Comes To Progress Energy Stage

101012_bollywoodMusic, dance, lavish costumes and beautiful jewelry is what makes Bollywood such a big part of the world’s film industry. And for one night only in Raleigh, “The Merchants of Bollywood” will take the stage at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts.

With 50 performers, 500 lavish costumes and 3,000 pieces of jewelry, the writers of the show introduce American audiences to Indian culture and their love for music and dance.

According to the show’s press release, “The Merchants of Bollywood” is loosely based on the real-life story of the Merchant family, who are prominent choreographers and filmmakers.

Tickets are already on sale and can be purchased through Ticketmaster or the Progress Energy Center Box Office. The show will take place on October 21 at 8 p.m.
